Paul Fenn

Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary

Paul has extensive experience in the agribusiness sector across M&A, corporate advisory, restructuring, value creation and integration. Paul was first introduced to Altora Ag whilst a Director of M&A at PwC, where he advised the shareholders on their sale to PSP Investments in 2019. Following this, Paul joined the Natural Resources Group supporting the strategic growth and development of farming businesses and assets across Australia. This included working with companies such as Hewitt, Fresh Country Farms, Southern Premium Vineyards, Aurora, Stahmann Webster, Australian Food and Fibre and of course – Altora Ag. Paul was more recently involved in supporting the merger of Daybreak Cropping and BFB to form Altora Ag and joined the team permanently as CFO in November 2023. Paul holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics from the Univeristy of Sydney and is a Chartered Accountant.


Scott Bartlett

General Manager - Farming

Originally growing up in the Inverell region on his family’s mixed cropping and livestock property,  Scott has held a variety of agronomy roles over his 20 plus years in agriculture. Scott holds a Bachelor of Applied Science with a Major in Ag Science from the University of Queensland. Scott has enjoyed the opportunity to work not only in Australia but also in the UK and New Zealand and brings an understanding of different agronomic conditions from these expereiences. Scott joined the team initially with BFB as a Consulting Agronomist and with the merging of BFB and Daybreak, was appointed to the role of Head of Agronomy for Altora Ag in 2023. Prior to this, Scott was the director of his own agronomic consulting business in NE VIC, held senior agronomist roles with IK Caldwell, Seed Production NZ, and held a Territory Manager role for Syngenta in the Central West of NSW. Scott now oversees all farming operations for Altora Ag.

Maria Steel

Chief People Officer

Maria Steel is an experienced People and Culture leader with a strong background in organisational development, safety, and compliance across Australia’s agricultural sector. As Chief People Officer at Altora Ag, Maria plays a key role in shaping the company’s culture, safety, capability, and workforce strategy, driving initiatives that bring heart to modern agriculture. Her work focuses on developing strong leadership, embedding safety, wellbeing and sustainability across the business. She is responsible for building systems that connect people, purpose, and performance across a large and geographically diverse workforce. Maria is an experienced HR and Safety and Governance executive with over 20 years experience garnered from industries including Managed Services, Supply Chain and Manufacturing with listed and non listed global entities.  Maria joined the business as Chief People Officer in 2022. Maria holds a Masters Business and Human Resources from University of  Sydney.

Peter Stimson

Regional Operations Manager - East Coast

Peter has been involved in agriculture for 35 years and started with BFB in 2001. Peter commenced as an operator assisting with duties across the farms and as the company grew, progressed to Field Supervisor and then to Farming Manager. Peter currently oversees the operational activities across the East Coast Altora Ag farming portfolio.


Paul Flanders

Regional Operations Manager - West Coast

Paul brings over 25 years experience in farm management across livestock & wool production, irrigation, pasture, hay & silage production, and most recently 16 years in large scale broadacre cropping. Based at Altora Ag's largest aggregation, Erregulla Plains Farm in Mingenew he oversees the operational activities across West Coast Altora Ag farming operations portfolio.

Neil Wittwer

Business Efficiency & Growth Manager 

Neil joined Altora Ag in 2024 and brings extensive expertise in agronomy and sustainable farming practices. He holds an Honours degree in Agronomy from the University of Adelaide and has a strong background in research, crop production, and agricultural logistics. Originally from the South Australian rural community, Neil is committed to advancing innovative solutions that enhance business efficencies, growth and productivity while living Altora’s purpose of bringing heart to modern agriculture.
